Simple Barcode Filer 3.0

Simple Bar Code Filer, the name says it all, a simple to use program that files documents by bar codes. The program reads bar codes on invoices, work orders, purchase orders, personnel records or any other document that has a bar code on it. The bar code works as a unique identifier and the document can be named the contents of the bar code for easy retrieval. For instance a check number becomes the bar code and then the file name once processed. When the user keys in the check number the check and supporting documentation are retrieved. If a second barcode is available it can use the second barcode to create a bookmark in the output PDF or place the file in a given client folder.

The software will automatically append or replace an existing file. If appending, the pages are added and a book mark is placed in the output PDF showing when it was appended. These barcodes can also be used to segregate different document sections in a master document.

Two barcodes can be used allowing for complete flexibility in scanning and filing structured documents. A second barcode could be used to place all of one clients transactions in a separate folder.

The program has a monitor function making it ideal for use with a copier that scans to a file folder on a network. The user can use the copier to automatically name and file scanned documents

The bar code itself can be placed on the document by the software that creates the original document such as invoice numbers, purchase orders etc. can be placed on the document by accounting software, or by the use of a cover page creator that is included with Simple Bar code Filing.

Simple Bar Code Filer comes with a retrieval module and cover page creation module that can be used on each work station without additional charges.
