AUTHOR and BUYER AGREEMENT SUMMARY :
The author of the source code is granting a copyright license to the buyer to use the source code royalty-free, or any improved version of the source code, in object code form only. This includes executables, libraries, dynamic or static, and other forms of compiled source code.
The buyer has the right to improve, modify, and recompile the source code and incorporate that source code into the product of their choice, for commercial or non-commercial use.
The buyer does not have the right to resell the source code purchased from the author in any way, unless such rights are specifically obtained from the author.
Buyer enhancements, improvements, or modifications to the original source code are expected; but it does not mean the buyer has new rights to resell that source code. If such improvements drastically change the functionality and operation of the object code such that it`s intended purpose is different from the original source code, the Buyer still does not have rights to redistribute or resell that source code without express authorization from original Author.
If the buyer intends or claims to change the source code so drastically such that it`s intended execution purpose is different from the original source code, it is recommended that the buyer become an author and write such source code from scratch to avoid copyright infringement.
It is the responsibility of the Author to enforce their own copyrights and the responsibility of the Buyer to secure additional rights if needed.
