Software License Agreement
Copyright© 2003-05 Peter Wiseman/Digital Smoke
SOFTWARE LICENSE AGREEMENT
This is a legal agreement between you and Peter Wiseman/Digital Smoke covering your use
of the Solitaire City Trial Version for Windows. BY USING THIS SOFTWARE (REGARDLESS OF
WHETHER YOU HAVE REGISTERED THE SOFTWARE OR NOT), YOU ARE AGREEING TO BE BOUND BY THE
TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT, DO NOT USE
THE SOFTWARE AND DESTROY ALL COPIES IN YOUR POSSESSION.
DISTRIBUTION
This license allows you to install the Trial Version of Solitaire City on as many
computers as you like. You are encouraged to pass a copy of this Trial Version along to
as many friends as possible for evaluation. If you do so, you must provide them with
the original, unmodified .EXE or .ZIP file that you downloaded from the internet, or
you may point them in the direction of the Solitaire City web-site at
www.solitairecity.com where the latest Trial Version will always be available for
download. The Trial version of Solitaire City may be freely distributed as long as the
original files remain intact and un-altered in any way. Additional files such as text
files, card sets, backgrounds and sound effects may be added at the distributors
discretion, but all the original files must also be included. You must not distribute
any Registration Keys you may have purchased that allow you to play beyond the trial
period.
TRIAL VERSION
The Trial Version of Solitaire City expires after five hours of actual game play time.
Once your evaluation period has ended, you must purchase a Registration Key over the
internet if you wish to continue playing. If you don`t enjoy your Solitaire City
experience then simply use the un-installer to remove it from your computer. However,
we think five hours will be enough time for you to discover how incredibly addictive
Solitaire City can be and hope you will consider purchasing a Registration Key so you
can continue playing to your hearts content. Digital Smoke is a true, independent
software developer who relies on registration fees to fund future development. If you
like this game then please encourage us to continue enhancing Solitaire City and to
write more quality games for your enjoyment by purchasing a Registration Key.
REGISTRATION KEY
If you have purchased a Registration Key then you must not give it to anybody. It is
your own personal license to use Solitaire City beyond the evaluation period and
distribution of your key would be a serious breach of copyright laws. You may install
your Registration Key on more than one computer if you personally own them or an
immediate family member owns them, such as wife, husband or children, but only if they
are permanent residents of your home. Please encourage your friends to buy their own
Registration Keys and support future development of Solitaire City. Digital Smoke
reserves the right to cancel any Registration Keys found to be illegally distributed
over the internet or by other means and will prosecute offenders.
VENDORS
Magazine Cover Disc Vendors and Shareware Distributors may charge a nominal fee for
distribution of this Trial Version of Solitaire City which must not exceed the
reasonable cost of duplication and materials. This Trial Version must not be sold for
profit ! The recipient of Solitaire City must be informed, in advance, that this
version is a Trial Version that expires and that the fee paid to acquire this Trial
Version does not entitle them to the Registered Version of Solitaire City which they
must purchase separately. Please contact Peter Wiseman at pete@solitairecity.com
regarding all business and distribution propositions not covered here.
