License Agreement

This license is a legal agreement between you and DIY DataRecovery.
This agreement stipulates the following:

- General

By using the software you have indicated you accept the license terms.

You can use the demo version(s) of the program(s) to determine if the
program(s) can recover your data. Once you have determined it/they fully
or partially can recover your data and you intend to use the program
for said recovery, or you intend to keep the software for later use,
you must purchase and register it/them.

A license is not transferrable.

One single user license permits you to use the licensed program(s) on
all computers that you, as one individual private/home user, own and/or
lease and to electronically store the program(s) for future use.

The single user license may not be used in an environment where
datarecovery is performed as a commercial or non-commercial service,
unless you obtain a technicians license.

If any DIY DataRecovery program is used in any of the following environments;
- Governmental
- Educational
- Commercial or Non-Commercial DataRecovery services related
you are required to purchase a technician`s license.

You are allowed to redistribute the demo or trial version(s) of the program(s)
as long as you do NOT charge for the program itself. In addition it is not
permissible for you to change the distribution format (i.e., .ZIP file)
or the contents of the distribution in any way.

You are NOT permitted to redistribute the licensed program(s) and/or
accompanied documentation.

DIY DataRecovery will provide registered users with technical support
in the form of: online forum support, Website FAQ`s or e-mail.
An initial support request must be submitted through the online forum.
Although DIY DataRecovery will endeavour to answer enquiries as soon
as possible, no guarantees as to when this will be are made.

If DIY DataRecovery is contacted for support (initially via the online
forum), the user understands that the process of data recovery is a
mutual effort by both the end user and support technician.
Support personnel may indicate that recovery with DIY DataRecovery
software and/or documentation is not possible.
Under such circumstances the reported issue will be closed.
Support personnel may decide that the forum is not the preferred
medium for handling a specific issue(s) and may take it to email.

A purchased license rewards DIY DataRecovery’s efforts for creating
this program. The purchased license is not a contractual agreement
between DIY DataRecovery and the licensed holder for guaranteed
data recovery. DIY DataRecovery does not guarantee that the software
and/or documentation will meet your requirements.

DIY DataRecovery cannot and will not guarantee a positive data recovery
outcome. Advice given through documentation, DIY DataRecovery’s website,
or email comes `as is`. DIY DataRecovery cannot and will not be held
accountable or responsible for any damage that is inflicted by the
person(s) using the information and/or programs we supply.

If data recovery fails, for any reason, this is not a reason
for a refund.

DIY DataRecovery may use forum or email correspondence for assembling
online recovery guides or FAQ documents.

It is not permissible for any person(s) to decompile, disassemble
or change the program code in any way.

The quality of data recovery that is conducted by iUnformat depends on:
1. The physical condition of the hard disk drive
2. The fragmentation of the files
3. The degree of lost hard disk drive information

We cannot provide recovery capabilities under certain conditions.
Due to the many variables and imponderables associated with hard disk drive
corruption, we cannot guarantee recovery in all cases.
However, downloading and running the demonstration (or demo) version
gives you the closest idea as to what we have to offer. For this reason
a purchased license is non-refundable.

DIY DataRecovery endeavors to develop software to the highest
possible standards but we cannot be held responsible and therefore
accountable for any limitations and/or bugs.

- Updates / Upgrades

If updates are available, DIY DataRecovery will make these available
on its website.

An update is a newer version of the program that fixes bugs and/or
adds functionality that doesn`t cause the number in front of the period
to change.
For example, the program version changing from 1.1 to 1.2 is considered
an update; 1.2 to 2.0 is considered an upgrade.
Although DIY DataRecovery has a history for making upgrades available
free of charge for registered users, it does not guarantee this
practice indefinitely.
