Known Technical Limitations in BB FlashBack Express
The main movie player module of BB FlashBack does not support and cannot run on Windows NT4. Windows NT4 users can still record movies as normal.
When a movie is recorded with a soundtrack where the "Use MP3 compression" option is disabled, and then exported to Flash, the last few seconds of audio is lost. If this causes problems it can be worked around by adding blank audio to the end of the movie to compensate for sound lost upon export.
SWF format files created by BB FlashBack do not support editing by third party Flash editors. The HTML file through which the SWF movie plays is however fully editable in all HTML editing tools. BB FlashBack also includes a HTML template manager to assist customisation.
Currently, AVI exports produced by BB FlashBack do not officially support conversion to playable DVD format in a third party DVD editing program. This is being investigated by Blueberry and may be improved in a future release. We encourage users to experiment with the process of making playable DVDs with BB FlashBack AVI files and report successes and limitations to us.
When recording on PCs that have dual video cards, some text and graphics may be missing from the final movie. The solution to this is to use the DirectX or GDI recording mode instead of the Capture Driver. Go to the `Record mode` tab on the Recorder Options dialog to switch recording modes.
Recording is not supported in Windows 256 colour mode.
When recording with sound, some PCs can have problems with the sound and video becoming out of sync. during playback. To fix this, go to the Advanced tab of the Recorder Options window and check the `Use extra sound synchronisation` box. However, be aware that activating this function can cause crashes during recording on some PCs - this is why we don`t activate it by default.
Exporting to AVI with DivX v6 codec produces errors. Other versions of the DivX codec can be used successfully.
