Important Hints:

Video files in VCD must have MPEG1/VCD format.

Video files in SVCD must have MPEG2/SVCD format

Protected VCD(Using Softlock. VCD):
1-The VCD could not be copied to another CDR
2-The .DAT files could not be copied from the original VCD to another storage media
3-The common ripping software will fail to rip the video tracks to MPEG files

Unprotected VCD(Without Softlock. VCD) :
1-The VCD could be illegally copied to another CDR
2-The VCD could be illegally copied to another CDR
3-All the existing ripping software can rip the video tracks to MPEG files, the MPEG files could easily published by any electronic media even on the internet.
