SimpleIndex takes the labor out of document scanning by providing powerful barcode and optical character recognition (OCR) that can find data anywhere on the page and use it to organize your files automatically. Use it as a small business document management solution or front end capture for your custom database, EMR, CMS or SharePoint systems.

SimpleIndex can also run as an unattended server process to file documents from multiple network scanners and MFPs automatically at a fraction of the cost of similar solutions.

Version 7 includes the FineReader OCR engine for the fastest, most accurate optical character recognition available. Create searchable PDF image+hidden text files from scanned images, convert images to MS Word, text or HTML files, or convert Office documents and HTML files to PDF automatically. Other new features include a multi-engine voting bar code recognition, signature capture, real time processing, XML data export, multi-image display during scan and the ability to run multiple jobs at once.

Extensive and open database integration and a simple command line interface make SimpleIndex the easiest way to integrate batch scanning with your custom business application. Don`t reinvent the wheel with an SDK--simply define the batch process in a SimpleIndex job file and launch it from your software. SimpleIndex can perform complex scanning, recognition and file organization, output the relevant data to your database and even attach the images as binary objects or Base64 encoded text.

The SimpleIndex Document Management Suite contains companion tools for barcode printing, document distribution with FTP or email, quality control review and rescan, and export scripts for a variety of document management, EMR and litigation support systems. These work as standalone apps or together with SimpleIndex for a complete workflow solution.
