sMaRTcaPs is a Windows utility that completely eliminates all of the annoyances with the Caps Lock, Num Lock, and Insert keys. With sMaRTcaPs, there is no more ruined work, saving you time, money, and frustration. And it works in the background for all of your Windows 98 and later applications.sMaRTcaPs prevents all accidental touches of these keys yet still allows full functionality. An adjustable time delay is added to each key so it must be purposely held before it will toggle. Optional sound notifications will let you know exactly when each key has toggled states, not just when the key has been touched.Now with our BeepKeys feature which lets you know whenever a key is pressed while Caps Lock is on.Other options include 2 types of visual indicators for the Caps Lock and Num Lock keys, so that even notebook computers will clearly show each state. sMaRTcaPs will not only set the startup settings for these keys in systems that do not provide this capability, it will also give you sound notification of these startup states. sMaRTcaPs has been featured in the “Ask Leo” article of many Sunday papers, in “Mossberg’s Mailbox” of the Wall Street Journal, as well as in articles in the London Telegraph, and in Practical PC. sMaRTcaPs is a product of Phoebus LLC which has been solving the caps lock issue since 1991 with unmatched quality and service.

SMARTCAPS - DISTRIBUTION LICENSE INFORMATION
1. Distributors can make no changes whatsoever to the product or its packaging.
2. Distributors may not replace or add an installation procedure to an Phoebus LLC software product.
3. OWNERSHIP. The SOFTWARE is owned and copyrighted by Phoebus LLC. Distributing Phoebus LLC SOFTWARE confers no title or ownership in the SOFTWARE and should not be construed as a sale of any right in the SOFTWARE.
4. COPYRIGHT. The SOFTWARE is protected by United States copyright law and international treaty provisions. You acknowledge that no title to the intellectual property in the SOFTWARE is transferred to you. You further acknowledge that title and full ownership rights to the SOFTWARE will remain the exclusive property of Phoebus LLC and you will not acquire any rights to the SOFTWARE except as expressly set forth in this license. You agree that any copies of the SOFTWARE will contain the same proprietary notices which appear on and in the SOFTWARE.
5. REVERSE ENGINEERING. You agree that you will not attempt to reverse compile, modify, translate, or disassemble the SOFTWARE in whole or in part.
6. UNAUTHORIZED USE. You may not use rent, lease, sell, modify, decompile, disassemble, otherwise reverse engineer, or transfer the SOFTWARE except as provided in this agreement. Any such unauthorized use shall result in immediate and automatic termination of this license.
7. BUNDLING. In no case may this product be bundled with hardware or other non-shareware software without written permission from Phoebus LLC (PO Box 455, Media, PA 19063 USA).
8. The SOFTWARE may not be made available on any site, CD-ROM, or with any package which makes available or contains viruses, virus source code, or virus creation material.
9. Permission to distribute the SOFTWARE is not transferable, assignable, saleable, or franchisable. Each entity wishing to distribute the package must independently satisfy the terms of the distribution license.
