Nimsoft Rackspace Cloud Monitor is a free standalone application that enables Rackspace customers to monitor performance and availability of their Rackspace servers while monitoring monthly resource usage to control cost. Dashboards display key performance metrics including server bandwidth, disk space, number of bytes in storage accounts and more. Thresholds can be set for each monitor so that users can be proactively notified when problems occur.
Some of the key features that you won`t find in other monitoring tools are the built in synthetic transactions to monitor the actual performance of the Rackspace server instance such as file download/upload latency and throughput.
