Defocus Dei 4.0
You can add depth of field to your images, modify hue depending on depth, add fog using atmospheric perspective filter. All effects are computed in a split second.
Thanks to the included viewer, you simply define the area where the effect should apply and the trick is done! For example, the depth of field tool allows you to select the focus point and the blur amount before and after this point. You control accurately where to apply depth of field. You can then select the diaphragm shape or animate the focus point to make smooth depth of field transition.
Defocus Dei includes a powerful depth of field algorithm - you`ll find it anywhere else! - which dramatically simulates real lens depth of field effects.
Defocus Dei is a post production tool. You add your effect on images that already has been computed using any of the following 3D software:
- LightWave
- 3DS Max
- Cinema 4D
- Vue Esprit
- Amapi
- Softimage
- Any software which exports Z-Buffer or RLA/RPF/ZPIC files
You simply import an image or an animation in Defocus Dei and you are able to try effects settings out until you get the result you want. Once you are ready you can save the result, using one of the many available file formats (avi, jpeg, tga, bmp...).
