Testingpoint is a software that monitors your servers and networks. The software will alert your employees in case of a failure per email, sms or per acoustic alarm. To transmit SMS to your mobile you can setup an internet account.There are two alert levels, so you can differentiate between a short failure or a complete black out. Testingpoint is not just doing ping checks like most other competitors, but checks on service level, this garantees more accurate test.
Testingpoint Lite lets you monitor web, email, dns, ftp server. Testingpoint lets you even analyse logfiles that have been generated by other applications. The availability of Testingpoint itself, can be check with an other instance of Testingpoint.
Testingpoint Professional can be extended with your own test cases. The individual test cases are added to the software as plugins. This plugins can be programed by the customer or bought from the supplier.
The configuration of Testingpoint is simple. The test interval, service uptime, delay time can be defined in a intuitive user interface.
Thanks to Java technology, Testingpoint runs on all major operating systems. The software has been tested for Linux, Max OS X and Windows.
