KeyOff 2.5

KeyOff monitors keyboard and mouse and initiates computer shutdown if the there has been no key or mouse activity for a specified length of time. It can be started manually or automatically via the Windows Task Scheduler. The shutdown time and many other parameters can be configured via the configuration screen. It can also be used to shutdown a remote computer. Shutdown has been configured to force all running applications to close. KeyOff is part of the JSutils group of software utilities which have a theme of energy conservation. The program normally runs in the System Tray. Requires a registration code (free for personal non commercial use).

About and Config screens will now time out if left open. Help button removed from configuration screen. 1 second error in power off period fixed. Stopped duplicate log entry after configuration changes. Added configuration updated and not configured to log messages.

Now minimises to system tray and supports domain name addressing for communications with the slave program. Comms to Slave improved. Other minor changes and bug fixes

Now correctly removes program Start Up group, no longer supports Quick Launch icon and installs shortcuts for all users. Test inhibited in shutdown mode. Users now need administrator privileges to edit the configuration file.
