DownOff 2.3

DownOff monitors the average file transfer or download rate and initiates computer shutdown if the rate has been below a specified rate for a specified length of time. It can be started manually or automatically via the Windows Task Scheduler. The download rate and many other parameters can be configured via the configuration screen. It can also be used to shutdown a remote computer. Shutdown has been configured to force all running applications to close. DownOff is part of the JSutils group of software utilities which have a theme of energy conservation. Requires a registration code (free for personal non commercial use).

Fixed multiple start error message truncation. Removed a spurious file. Added extra error checking to start up. Fixed an install bug where configuration file always overwritten. Help updated.

Removes a spurious line from the log file and updates help. Corrects a directory path error when restoring default values. Links added to logos plus a few minor formatting improvements.

The About and Configuration screens will now time out if left open. Help button removed from configuration screen. 1 second error in power off period fixed. Stopped duplicate log entry after configuration changes. Added configuration updated and not configured to log messages.

Adds Standby mode and domain name addressing. Program minimises to system tray by default. Restore button disabled for non admin users. Exit button disabled in shutdown mode. Fixed bug of hibernate not resuming. Other minor bug fixes and improvments.
