The engine can be used with any program/environment that can call a DLL. EGI provides transparent animations (move an animation over the desktop), embedded (synchronized) sound, segmented animations, graphic and text overlays, high compression, real time scaling while keeping high quality, integration with graphic/sprite libraries, support for HiColor animations and run-time scripting.
