Executable Lockdown 1.0

Executable lockdown prohibits the installation of all unauthorized executable files, regardless of whether they are downloaded from the Internet or introduced via any other media source. All newly introduced executables, will not launch unless you, the administrator, permit the file to launch or until it is listed within your administrative "Allowed" executables whitelist. Executable Lockdown protects your PC at all times regardless of what user account is logged in. To install software, make system updates, or run new executables, the administrator can easily stop the service on-the-fly; without having to restart the PC. In public access or shared computing environments; the administrator has the option of hiding the Executable Lockdown tray icon. Additionally a password for the program console can also be set - to prevent users from changing settings. Executable Lockdown standardizes PC environments by preventing unauthorized programs from being installed, regardless of whether they are downloaded from the Internet or introduced via any removable media. Executable Lockdown enforces employee/student authorized user policies for desktops and laptops with its unique and comprehensive white list of authorized applications. Executable Lockdown keeps students and employees on task by preventing the installation of applications such as Kazaa, Messenger and other applications that are deemed as unauthorized by your corporate acceptable user policy. Executable Lockdown is pro-active therefore there are no definition files etc that need to be kept up to date. Executable Lockdown protection is dynamic. Public access settings are where identity thieves attempt to pre-install a key logger or some dangerous spyware application in an attempt to capture the personal and banking information from patrons...
