Built-in editing capabilities allow you to cut, trim, and merge your recordings. All the editing is done without decompressing/recompressing sound data to prevent the unnecessary loss of the quality and save time. The ability to convert sound files from one format to another is one of the most powerful features of Total Recorder. As opposed to majority of recording software, Total Recorder records sound from another software in digital format directly without a conversion.
Total Recorder contains advanced features such as background recording of an Internet stream in MP3, WMA, and Ogg Vorbis formats without decoding and re-encoding, robust scheduling and splitting facility, extended naming options, timeshifting, cue files supporting.
You can also enhance Total Recorder functionality with add-ons that can be used for sound enhancements, mixing operations, integration with iTunes/iPod, real-time transfer of audio being played back or captured by Total Recorder over a local network or the Internet, and for other purposes.
New in V8.4:compatibility with Win8; ability to specify if scheduled jobs are executed in a minimized or normal window; normalize a selection; edit list of recent URLs from the `Open URL` dialog; updated Monkey`s Audio (APE) support libraries.
As the copyright and trademark holder for TR, HCI authorizes to you the copying of the files contained in TR Evaluation Package for your own use or for giving to others, under the following conditions:
1. The TR Evaluation Package may not be modified and must be distributed together, as a complete package. You may not distribute corrupted or otherwise damage files.
2. No price or other compensation may be charged for TR Evaluation Package. Reasonable costs may be charged for media and shipping.
3. Neither the Agreement nor any part or portion hereof shall be assigned or sublicensed. If any provision of this Agreement be held to be void or invalid, the validity and enforceability of the other provisions shall not be affected. If any provision is determined to be unenforceable, you agree to modify such provision to provide for enforcement of the intent, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Failure of a party to enforce any provision of this Agreement shall not constitute a waiver of such provision or of the right to enforce such provision. If you fail to comply with any terms of this Agreement, your license is automatically terminated, and you may be prosecuted under national and European laws and under International Treaty provisions.
4. You acknowledge that, you have read this Agreement, you understand this agreement, and understand that by copying any part of TR, you agree to be bound by this Agreement`s terms and conditions. You also agree, except for written separate agreements between HCI and you, this Agreement is a complete and exclusive statement of your rights. This agreement supersedes all prior agreements, proposals or understandings, and any other communications between HCI and you relating to this Agreement.
