Total Recorder Developer Edition 7.1
Total Recorder Developer Edition provides COM interfaces so that all of its functions can be invoked programmatically from within another program (e.g. C/C++, VB, or Java programs) or from within a script (e.g. VB Script, JavaScript, or Perl) rather than interactively. The program package contains additional documentation and sample code (C++, Visual Basic and JavaScript) for writing applications that can control Total Recorder through COM facilities.
You can also enhance Total Recorder functionality with some additional add-ons that can be used to improve the quality of your cassette or vinyl records and voice dictating tremendously, accomplish automatic gain control, apply an equalizer, send your recordings to iTunes/iPod and others.
A very brief list of new features in Version 7.1 Developer Edition includes:
Windows Vista 64-bit is fully supported with the introduction of the 64-bit version of Total Recorder`s kernel mode driver.
Favorites are now supported by Total Recorder. Favorites, similar to the favorites you use in a browser, provide a faster and more convenient way to open a file, playlist or URL. You can organize your Favorites list, use predefined sample links, and export and import Favorites.
Adjustable playback speeds. This feature lets you play an audio file or a video file at a slower or faster speed than normal while optionally preserving the original tone.
Support for tags is extended: Total Recorder can read ID3v2 tags for all versions (version 2.2, 2.3, and 2.4) and ability to add an artwork to the tag within the file is available now.
Other minor enhancements.

Distribution permissions for Total Recorder Developer Edition
This Limited Distribution License Agreement (throughout this section, the "Agreement") is a legal agreement between you, the distributor, and High Criteria, Inc. By copying any part of Total Recorder, you are agreeing to be bound by the terms of this Agreement.
As the copyright and trademark holder for Total Recorder, High Criteria authorizes individuals and organizations to copy the files contained in Total Recorder Evaluation Package for their own use or for giving to others, ONLY when the following conditions are met:
1. The Total Recorder Evaluation Package - including all related program, data and documentation files - may not be modified in any way and must be distributed together, as a complete package, without exception. You may not distribute corrupted or otherwise damaged files.
2. No price or other compensation may be charged for the Total Recorder Evaluation Package. A reasonable distribution cost may be charged for the distribution media, shipping and handling.
3. Neither this Agreement nor any part or portion hereof shall be assigned or sublicensed, except as described herein. Should any provision of this Agreement be held to be void, invalid, unenforceable or illegal by a court, the validity and enforceability of the other provisions shall not be affected thereby. If any provision is determined to be unenforceable, you agree to a modification of such provision to provide for enforcement of the provision`s intent, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Failure of a party to enforce any provision of this Agreement shall not constitute or be construed as a waiver of such provision or of the right to enforce such provision. If you fail to comply with any terms of this Agreement, your license is automatically terminated, and you may be prosecuted at any time under national and European laws and under International Treaty provisions.
4. You acknowledge that, you have read this Agreement, you understand this agreement, and understand that by copying any part of Total Recorder, you agree to be bound by this Agreement`s terms and conditions. You further agree that, except for written separate agreements between High Criteria and you, this Agreement is a complete and exclusive statement of your distribution rights. This agreement supersedes all prior oral agreements, proposals or understandings, and any other communications between High Criteria and you relating to the subject matter of this Agreement.
