Update history of Trillian Astra
vBuild 118 (September, 17. 2009)
- Trillian for Windows 4.1 is coming along nicely, and we hope to have more detailed information to share with everyone soon. After getting 4.0 out the door, we’ve been working hard on cool new enhancements, UI improvements, and implementing as many community feature requests as we can! Look for 4.1 to improve many different aspects of your current Trillian experience.
- Trillian for iPhone was submitted to the App Store on August 14th, the same day we released Trillian Astra 4.0. We haven’t been accepted or rejected yet and are patiently awaiting a response from Apple. Should the app be rejected, we’ll update the blog and explain what we’re doing to address any problems Apple’s reviewers uncovered. In the meantime, we’re in the dark and keeping our fingers crossed.
- Trillian 3.1.14.0 is being slowly rolled out to 3.x customers this week. It features upgrades to the Yahoo! engine to ensure protocol compatibility with Yahoo!’s latest servers. We recommend that 3.x customers capable of doing so upgrade to the 4.x series as soon as possible; as a rule, the protocol engines within 4.x will always be the most reliable and up-to-date.

Friday, May 8th, 2009 Build 105 is now available and will begin rolling out to customers over the next few days. A large handle leak within the HTTP engine was found and fixed, Yahoo webcams were stress tested and many minor quirks and crashes were fixed, and we’ve also improved the Yahoo connection process in hopes of reducing connection problems. As always, various other bugs and crashes were resolved in Build 105. Enjoy your weekend!
